THE late singer and songwriter Marc Rantseli's family has shared how wonderful the musician was.

This was during his funeral service held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Diepkloof, Soweto on Saturday, 18 November.

His family and friends gathered to say their last goodbyes. They all shared their fondest memories of him.

He has left behind his brother Alex, with whom he was in duo called MarcAlex as well as his sister Eva, mother Yoli and his daughter Naledi and son Thabo.

His daughter Naledi Ngcobo described him as a man of surprises. She said he did so many beautiful things for her while he was still alive.

She said Marc was a man of integrity and he gave her a good life.

Jason Rantseli said his uncle's death hurt them as a family, and they would always miss him. He said they lost someone who was loving and brought people together under one roof because of the love he had.

"I will miss you, my uncle. You did a lot for us. You are an amazing person who was full of joy," he said.

Thabo Fassie told Daily Sun his father was a loving and peaceful man.

"He was proud of both of his kids. He was always there for us," he said.

"He was the best father to us. I will always love my father for who he was. There's a lot that many people didn't know of," he said.
