MANDLA N has opened a production academy.
The Joburg-based TV producer and actor, whose real name is Mandla Ngcongwane, wanted to bring hope to young creatives.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he said it had always been his dream to open a school for the artistically talented.
He said the school, called Black Brain Academy, would be situated at Urban Brew Studios in Ferndale, Joburg.
Mandla said he would share more information on his social media pages soon.

“Many people have been asking me to open an academy,” he said.
Mandla said he wanted to give young people a chance to explore the film industry.
He said he came up with the idea when he was approached by aspiring actors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said he believed in giving young people chances and it warmed his heart to see others grow in the entertainment industry.
“I want them to learn more about the business of the industry. We will be teaching them more about film production, acting and directing,” he said.

Mandla said they had partnered with international companies and hoped to learn more about the industry internationally.
“We will be working with giants in the film industry,” he said.
The director of DiepCity said he wanted to leave a legacy. “It’s going to be a beautiful story to tell others,” he said. Mandla said the academy would be working with people in England, America and China to make films. “This is going to be a global movement. We want people to have access to the industry and learn how it works.”
