MEDIA personality Shauwn Mkhize has sent a stern warning to those who create fake accounts and scam people with her name.
She said she was disturbed that one of these fake accounts expressed an opinion about AKA’s death.
In a video clip, she said: “It has been brought to my attention that I have lots of fake accounts on Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. This is not right.
“I know I speak my mind but this has got nothing to do with me and I want to distance myself from it. I want to call upon Facebook SA, Twitter SA, SA TikTok to come on board and take action about this. These people have been scamming people. I’ll never scam people and I’ll never do Forex, instead I’ll encourage people. I only have one verified account on Instagram.

“To those people who are busy with these fake accounts, their days are getting numbered. You’ve pushed me too far, you’re putting me on the edge and you’re leaving me with no option but to stand up and deal with this matter. Stop it now! Enough is enough!” she said.

Her followers were shocked to learn that they’ve been dealing with scammers.
Peekay said: “Stand up for your name. What they are doing is totally wrong.”
Pentatonickc commented: “It’s really going to be hard to stop it. Every content creator or influencer goes
through this same problem. The best thing is to let your followers know your real account or accounts. Even after doing that some people will still fall victim to these fake accounts. But you have done what you needed to do.
“You can also report those accounts as well. Because it’s only Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok that can only handle that since it’s on their platform. But there are still fake accounts everywhere. It is well. God help us.”
