The past two years have been very difficult, and a lot of people have lost their loved ones.

To soothe the heartache, award-winning record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, along with its talent, have released an emotional gospel song titled Let It Rain, which aims to heal people. The song features the likes of Malome Vector, DoubleUp, Sbahle, and Sibu Nzuza.

Malome Vector told SunBuzz they decided to create the song because recently it seems grief is taking over everyone’s happiness.

“You log in to social media or watch television only to be met with the sad news of someone missing, raped or dead,” he said.

According to the Lesotho-born artist, whose real name is Bokang Moleli, the song is a plea to God.

“We have had enough. Let your mercy rain on us. Every day someone is dead and they continue to die and we don’t know how long this is going to continue. We can’t take it anymore. Our hearts aren’t strong.”

Botswana-born artist DoubleUp, whose real name is Kabelo Matome, said in the song they are asking the Lord to wash everyone with the blood of the lamb.

“We are pleading for change and mercy,” he said. He said working on this song has tested his abilities as an artist because it is outside his comfort zone.

Sbahle, who brings in the soft harmonies, said she had a blast working on the song.

“With what’s going on around the world – the increase in death rates and fights among countries – the song will touch many hearts,” she said.

Sbahle said the song will be accompanied by an equally heartfelt music video enacting the horrendous losses we have faced.

“The six-minute-long music video also shows us lighting one another’s candles, to remind us to always stay kind and be there for one another,” she said.

The song Let It Rain is available on all digital platforms.
