BARBARA Moagi from Unit 12 in Mmabatho outside Mahikeng, North West, has big dreams.
The 22-year-old made it into the top 30 of the Miss South Africa pageant. She's one of three women who took the North West into the Top 30.
Barbara is a digital content creator and a second-year digital marketing student at Vega School.
"I am committed to making a positive impact, from building platforms that celebrate authenticity, to mentoring young women in communities."
She told Daily Sun that preparing to compete in the Miss South Africa pageant has been a great source of self-confidence and personal growth for her.
"This journey has helped me find my voice and confidently express my thoughts and opinions," Barbara said.
She volunteers as a social media intern at Botshabelo, a nonprofit organisation focusing on upskilling women and giving them the skills they need to become entrepreneurs, as well as rehabilitating abandoned babies.
"I also mentor a group of girls in grades 7 to 9 in Midrand," she said.

When Barbara spoke about success, she said it's about being a better version of yourself today than you were yesterday.
"You are only as successful as you can be in fulfilling your God-created role in the world, bringing out the colours and light in everything around you. That's what I want to do with my life," she said.
Barbara said she was inspired by the incredible work ethic of media personality and entrepreneur Bonang Matheba.
"I admire people who work tirelessly to achieve their goals with flying colours. Bonang is passionate about what she does, and it shows in everything she does," she said.
