THE first episode of Love & Hip Hop South Africa finally aired on Monday, 27 February and people are already excited for what’s to come.
The cast spoke to Daily Sun about the first season and what people could expect in the coming 12 episodes.
Love & Hip Hop SA is the first franchise out of the US and stars DA LES, Gigi Lamanye, Yanga Chief, Shane Eagle, Nicole Schwartz, Money Badoo, J Molley, Fifi Cooper, and Speedsta.
Gigi and Fifi said they will finally address their beef, which has been going on for years.
“For me, I don’t think we had beef. I feel because of the show, we had enough time to talk about whatever issues we had before then. We’re not going to talk much about it on the show,” said Fifi.

However, Gigi doesn’t agree with Fifi and believes they had issues.
“From her perspective, there was nothing. But for me, there were quite a few things and I think being in an era together and being pioneers, certain things were bound to happen. But people should watch the show,” she said.
Shane and Nikki, who've been together for 12 years, represent the love aspect.
“We’ll show what we think the viewers need to see, which is essentially a big part of our lives. I’ll show how I support my lady. To show the people who think I’m the greatest rapper in the world that I can also be a gentleman,” said Shane.
“Behind every successful man is a successful woman, so I’ll be showing my secret weapon (Nikki)."

Money Badoo said she’ll be bringing the fashion.
"You can expect dope outfits all the time. I’m here to slay. Expect to uncover some new, raw, amazing talent and there’s something fresh happening in hip-hop. People don’t know yet. We’ll show them. And people can expect nothing but greatness from these goats around me,” she said.
Yanga Chief said people will see that he’s more than just a rapper.
“My aim here is to cleanse the bad boy image of a rapper. You can be a nice guy and still rap. Most of my shooting was based on things I’m doing outside of rap. I’m multi-talented in other aspects,” said Yanga.
