SEASON artist Ntsikelelo Ngcanga will host a Night Under the Village Stars Festival.
The festival will take place at Jane Furse in Limpopo from 6 to 8 October.
The festival will see local and national artists sharing the stage and showcasing their talents in theatre, poetry, music and dance.
"We have opted for capacity building workshops to ensure that we can help the artistes even after the festival. We will not only bring shows from outside Limpopo province, but also shows that people in Limpopo normally only hear about being performed in theatres abroad. We want the people of Jane Furse to experience the best of the arts like they have never experienced before," he said.
The Night Under the Village Stars Festival is a National Arts Council funded project under the PESP.

For this project, Ntsikelelo is collaborating with the renowned founder of Botho Arts Festival, Mashupe Phala.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Phala said: "Botho Arts Festival is about community development through the arts and when we were asked to partner, we saw an opportunity to bring the project to my hometown of Jane Furse.
"This comes at a time when I am celebrating 25 years of professionalism in the arts and there is no better way to celebrate this than with people from my home through this festival."
He told the Daily Sun that a number of plays will be showcased at the event.
"Our audience will be able to see plays like Woza Albert, Yawa Lembewu and Circle. We are trying to show as many plays as possible, but we are constrained by our budget. This is our first event and admission is free. The plan is to grow our audience and make it annual," he said.
