THE late kwaito star Mduduzi Tshabalala's life was celebrated during the premiere of his six-part biopic series Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza at Artistry in Sandton, Joburg.
Family and industry colleagues came in numbers to honour the late musician on Tuesday, 8 August.
Some of the stars include veteran actress Lilian Dube, dancer Lindo Sithole, Lorraine Moropa and Wiseman Mncube, who plays the role of the late Kwaito star.
Guests enjoyed themselves with soft drinks and traditional homemade ginger beer.
The singer died at 38 in 2016 after a short illness. The show will premiere on 16 August exclusively on BET Africa (DSTV Channel 129) at 9 PM.
His wife, Mpho Tshabalala, said Mandoza was everything to her.
Mpho described him as a man who loved his family and everyone around him.
She said Mandoza was a selfless man who always made people dance and enjoyed his company.
"I loved this cast and crew. This was like a family to me.
"They played his role so well. I'm grateful for representing my husband Mduduzi so well," she said.

Actress Lorraine Moropa who plays the role of Mandoza's wife told Daily Sun that she was lucky to be given a role like this.
"It is something I never imagined, and it's a dream come true for me. I will always be thankful for the opportunity they have given me to okay his wife's role," she said.
Lorraine said viewers at home must expect to see the best of the best with her role.
Lindo Sithole told Daily Sun he never imagined playing Mandoza's friend role.
He said he was called to choreograph the show and was surprised when they extended his role as General in this biopic film.
"I would like to thank the production team and everyone who saw talent in me. I'm blessed to have been chosen amongst the best talents in the country," Lindo said.
