YOUNG rapper Molemo "King $mvsh" Letsoalo is a jack of all trades when it comes to music.
The 19-year-old from Vosloorus in Ekurhuleni writes, produces, mixes and masters his own music. He wants to inspire other aspiring artists to stand up and face their fears.
As a self-thought music producer, he said he is determined to be a versatile musician who gives his audience a quality sound.
King $mvsh, who recently released his new EP titled Just For You Too, told Daily Sun it's not easy being an independent artist.
"I’m still hoping that I will get more support from music lovers because at the moment I don’t see myself being signed by any company.
"I’m doing everything by myself under my own name, from writing down a song to registering it and selling it. I know these things are quick and easy for those artists who belong to companies, but I'm slowly getting there," he said.

He said he released his first EP titled Just For You in 2022, which was his way of showing appreciation to everyone who supports his music.
"I’m happy I received a warm support from music lovers, but I believe I can still get more support. That why this year I decided to release my new EP titled Just For You Too that I’m basically telling those who didn’t hear the one titled Just For You that my music is also for them."
He started his music career at the age of 14 and officially released his debut single titled Frosty in 2021. He has released a number of singles since then, including Fearle$$, New School Bully and In The Morning.
He said he did a semester of sound engineering at the Joburg Institute of Engineering and Technology (JIET) college in 2022 to understand the basics of making music.
King $mvsh said he named himself king to honour his father’s surname which is Nkosi, but he uses his mum’s surname Letsoalo.
"I added $mvsh to my stage name because I want to smash music charts and release excellent music," he said.
