AFTER over two years of not speaking to each other, sisters Kelly and Zandie Khumalo have reconciled.
Their reconciliation was part of Kelly’s reality show, Life With Kelly Khumalo. In the season finale of the Showmax show, the sisters met for the first time in years and talked to their family therapist.
During the therapy session, Kelly opened up about how the separation affected her.

“When that separation took place, I was broken to the core. I actually want my sister to know that as strong as I am, nothing can ever break me, but that did. It did and I cried to God and I had so much hatred. How can I be removed from a person I regard as my twin? That separation is like something is cutting off the cord, literally and it’s painful,” she said.
Kelly also opened up about not meeting Zandie’s son.
“I feel like I’ve lost so much time where my godson is concerned. I haven’t met my godson, but damn, I love that little boy. I’ve gone through so many things where I’m like, ‘how is my godson born without me?’ He doesn’t even know me. That’s how deep the scar is,” said Kelly.
Zandie said she went to the therapy session with the aim to resolve the issues.
“I was also hoping that whatever happened in that therapy session, everyone would share exactly how they felt about the other. It was crucial that we leave that room having resolved everything because the burden of that separation was getting too heavy to carry,” she said.

When the sisters separated, Zandie released a statement saying she was divorcing Kelly.
However, at the weekend, Zandie shared snaps on Instagram of her son’s christening, which her sister attended.
When Daily Sun called Kelly, she declined to comment. At the time of going to print, Zandie had not responded to Daily Sun’s request for comment.
