Speaking to Osasu Obayiuwana, an African football journalist, Jessica confirmed her latest appointment.
"This is an extremely important occasion, not only for Kaizer Chiefs but also for African football. I'm honoured to be present and support African football in any manner I can," she said.
"I believe that my ability to commercialise the game is a strength, given the position of African clubs and the potential for obtaining corporate sponsorship and funding for the game, I will collaborate closely with the board and President Motsepe to achieve this goal."
Since her appointment, social media users have been congratulating her.
Joseph Lekalakala said that: "Excellently deserved! She is also performing admirably in her role as Chiefs' director of marketing. Jessica ought to be appointed managing director by Kaizer Motaung Senior. No doubt, then Chiefs will return to their heyday," he said.
Nompumelelo Zagane said Jessica is the greatest at what she does: "Kaizer Chiefs' brand ought to have died a long time ago if it wasn't her effort; she's really the best."
