ON Wednesday, 9 August, Mzansi will be celebrating Women’s Day.
Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni will be hosting a special jazz evening not to be missed.
On Tuesday 8 August, the centre will celebrate the eve of Women's Day with an exciting mix of some of South Africa's best-loved artists whose rich repertoire of music not only inspires and delights, but also embodies women's empowerment.
Guests will be treated to a women-friendly entertainment programme, delicious food and award-winning hospitality that highlights the venue's 25-year history and exceptional service.
Highlighting the versatility and immense contribution of women to live jazz, Afro-soul sensation Brenda Mtambo will lead the night musical programme, reminding the audience why she is considered one of the most gifted vocalists of her generation.

She will also thrill music fans with her latest album Sane.
The 12-track album showcases her musical talent and takes listeners on a transformative journey of self-discovery, reflection and healing, with each track containing a message of hope, inspiration and love.
She will share the stage with multi-award winning musicians and legendary singer Ringo Madlingozi, as well a capella group Beyond Vocal.
Elevating the voices of women in comedy, the comedic talents of Noko Moswete will perform her favourite jokes, while the evergreen personality Hector Mathabe will be entertaining and charismatic MC Hector Motivator will ensure that things run smoothly.
