MANY were surprised when it was announced that former Ukhozi FM presenter and motivational speaker, Zanele "Mazetzet" Mbokazi, would return behind the mic 23 years after she left radio.
This was announced by Ukhozi business manager, Sbongi Ngcobo, on Wednesday, 8 March as part of the radio station's new line-up.
She said all new changes will start on 1 April and Zanele will host a gospel called Indumiso Gospel Show.
Zanele will take over the show after Sibusiso Buthelezi was fired last year.

Sbongi said they always looking for the right person and put them on the show.
“We look at numbers and look at the number of listeners. We also check who can make better revenue for the show,” she said.
She added that Ukhozi FM TV will be hosted by Neliswa Cele.

“I spent three and half years on Ukhozi FM, but I felt like it was 20 years. People still identified me as Mazetzet from Ukhozi FM. I promise and assure Ukhozi FM listeners to uplift the content and bless them,” she said.
Zanele added that she went back to radio because it is her first love.
“It is my passion and calling. The microphone has been calling my name for some time now. I guess once a radio presenter, you will always be a radio presenter,” she said.
