JAZZ singer Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse has paid tribute to his late friend and colleague, Johnny Clegg.

On his Facebook post, he wrote: “I really have fond memories of Johnny and all the work he did. He adored me and I adored him.

“Johnny gave so much to the cultural and musical language of this country and it is an honour to be on the bill to pay tribute to a giant.”

He was speaking ahead of an official tributary concert scheduled to take place on Sunday, 17 July, at Emmarentia Botanical Gardens in Joburg.

This concert will feature Jesse Clegg, Hotstix, Msaki, Majozi, Zolani Mahola, Soweto Gospel Choir, Sipho Mchunu, The Johnny Clegg band and many more.
