ACTRESS Ayanda Borotho is excited about her new role in a new series, uZulu noMhlaba.
On Sunday, 30 October, she took to social media to share about how she prepared for the role for the Mzansi Magic show.
It premiered on Sunday, 30 October and she plays Vakashile Buthelezi. It also stars Ernest Ndlovu, Nothando Ngcobo and iHhashe Elimhlophe, among others.

Ayanda said her character took her out of her comfort zone, but she eventually fell in love with her.
“This was a challenging character for me. Vakashile Buthelezi threw me completely out of my comfort zone. But once I found her, I fell in love with her. I’m also so excited for the new talent that is part of uZulu noMhlaba,” she wrote.
Ayanda also thanked former fellow Isibaya actor Nhlanhla Mdlalose, who is the producer of the series, for believing that the character was meant for her.
“Thank you to my friend, brother and prayer trooper @nhlanhla_mdlalose for always believing Vakashile was for me. Thank you, Bafo, for the prayers,” she said.
“People have no idea we were praying on set and after set. Thank you for your loyalty and our friendship. Thank you for knowing me for who I truly am and for protecting the beauty of our friendship. Many will never understand. I love you eternally mngan’ami.”

Nothando said she enjoyed working with the cast and crew of the show.
“This entire team has been so amazing. I’ve never seen so many hardworking, dedicated and passionate people in one space. Well done everyone! History is about to be made tonight,” she wrote.
