GRAMMY award-winning gospel icon Tasha Cobbs Leonard is expected to set the Moses Mabhida Stadium on fire.
The American worshiper will be touring Mzansi and performing at the 2010 Fifa World Cup iconic stadium in Durban, KZN during The Revival Train on Saturday, 23 September.
The multi-award-winning songwriter, who scooped Best Gospel/Contemporary Music Performance at Grammy Awards in 2014, is set to perform her hit songs and worship God with Mzansi people.
Event organiser Buti Mthembu said Tasha will share the stage with Mzansi’s top gospel artists such as Dumi Mkokstad and Thinah Zungu.
“We are thrilled about hosting greatness in the form of Tasha Cobbs Leonard at Moses Mabhida Stadium. The Revival Train is going to be an out-of-this-world experience.

“Tasha Cobbs is very excited about coming to South Africa and Moses Mabhida Stadium. The venue is an iconic theatre built for the World Cup in 2010. It’s world-class, and we want to stage a befitting show,” he said.
Mthembu said they want to stage an event that will be memorable in the minds of the people, and they are going to make a lasting impression.
“Whenever people talk about gospel concerts, The Revival Train with Tasha Cobbs Leonard must rank high. We want people to be excited, to worship, and to receive salvation.
“We are going to have some of the best South African gospel artists as well. We have already secured Dumi Mkokstad and Thinah Zungu, who are looking forward to the show. We are working on getting others to come on board,” he said.
Mthembu is urging people to buy tickets early to ensure they witness greatness on the night of 23 September.
“People have to make sure that they buy their tickets as early as possible because, at the rate that things are going, they might find themselves missing out on this awesome event,” he said.
