MZANSI has been waiting for gospel star Ntokozo Mbambo to respond to all the hate she received from fellow singer Kelly Khumalo after the South African Music Awards (Samas).
However, the singer kept mum and didn’t respond to anything except that she responded to some gospel singers who congratulated her.
The 38-year-old In The Shadow hitmaker finally posted on X (previously Twitter) on Tuesday, 21 November and thanked people who supported her after she won three awards for Album of The Year, Best Contemporary Faith Album and Female Artist of The Year.
“I’d like to firstly thank Jesus Christ, the Saviour and Lord of my life. Jesus, you are my reason for doing the work that I do, and you are the source of my passion. I want to thank my family who are my heart, my closest ministry and my joy!” she tweeted.

She further said the work she does uplifts the name of Jesus.
“To @Koko_Records and all the creative and technical teams you have built relationships that I can thrive on, THANK YOU! To my friends, ministry partners and specific mention to my Pastor, THANK YOU! To the listeners of my music, those impacted by my ministry, my local church and the whole body of Christ, THANK YOU. If God be lifted, then He will draw men unto Himself. May the work I do continue to lift up only the name of Jesus,” she wrote.
On Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 November, Kelly (39) accused the Samas of arranging Ntokozo’s win.
They were both nominated for Female Artist of The Year.
“Even Ntokozo knows that numbers don’t lie. We’re not afraid of her. Fuseg Samas,” she wrote.
Her ranting upset a lot of South Africans. They were defending Ntokozo, saying she is unproblematic, therefore, she shouldn’t be bothered.
