THE past 10 years have not been easy for singer, Brenda Mtambo.
Brenda struggled as she navigated through life as a solo artist.
When she entered the music scene, she sang for Joyous Celebration and also performed as a backing vocalist for Lira.
However, she decided to pursue a solo career, which was not as easy as she had imagined.
The Umlazi-born singer (41) struggled to make a name for herself.
"I can write a book about my 10 years as a solo musician. It was great, with all its challenges. As an artist, especially when you’re self-funded, I had to prove to a lot of people that I knew what I was doing.
