AWARD-WINNING gospel artist Sipho Makhabane will be bringing the Pre-Easter Prayer and Gospel Festival to Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, on 2 April.
The event will start at 7pm and end on 3 April at 6am.
The festival, in partnership with Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency and Big Fish Arts, is staged to pray against social ills such as gender-based violence as well as car accidents and Covid-19, among other things.
“Through a prayer session and festival, we want to pray for accidents that normally happen during the Easter holidays. In doing so, I have invited colleagues in the industry to pray together for God’s intervention.
“But we are also going to pray for a lot of things that are happening in our country. We need to pray for our leaders to have the strength to lead us, and for the killing of people in the country,” said Makhabane.
