Gomora actor to leave viewers in awe!

Actor Mlungisi Duncan believes he was born to be an entertainer.

The 40-year-old told SunBuzz that he was always an active child at home and school.

He said he knew since he was young that he would become a good actor.

Mlungisi wants people to be ready as he is about to leave them in awe with his acting.

Mlungisi from KwaNongoma in KZN said he used to attend workshops in his kasi to perfect his craft.

“I started acting in 2006 at KwaMashu as a theatre performer.

“I wanted to know more about acting and the entertainment industry.

“I made sure I was informed about acting by attending acting workshops.

“I learnt the techniques of acting under Edmund Mhlongo as my mentor,” he said.

The actor said he did theatre a lot and fell in love with it, which made him a good writer and director.

“In 2014, I started on SABC1’s Uzalo as Nongoloza and later I joined Isibaya as Gadla Zungu in 2017,” he said.

Currently, Mlungisi stars on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Gomora as officer Muzi Mthethwa.

“I really enjoy this role as it has taught me a lot about life. I am happy that my work is celebrated and seen by many people in South Africa,” he said.

He’s also on Generations: The Legacy where he plays a prison kingpin named Solomon.

“I want to grow my brand in many ways. I love entertaining people,” he said.
