CONGRATULATORY messages are in full swing for radio presenter Menelisi Ndwandwe.    

Menelisi is going to another KZN-based radio station, Gagasi FM, where he will present a show called Indaba Openline on Mondays at 7pm.   

He presented a show called KZN in 60 minutes from 7pm to 8pm on Mondays to Thursdays on Vuma FM.   

Manelisi said Friday, 21 March was his last day on  Vuma.   

"I extended my gratitude to the management of the station for affording me such a wonderful opportunity. To my colleagues, thank you for always encouraging and cheering me. It was definitely not in vain,” he said.

Manelisi further thanked Vuma FM listeners.  

“To you, the listeners, thank you for believing in me. My co-pilots, the former and current producer, I’m full of gratitude, Isandla sedlul’ikhanda. I wish to thank the contributors and newsmarkers for always adding value to our broadcasts. My trip from the airwaves to your ears continues," he added.

Gagasi FM spokesman Khululeka Shandu said Menelisi will be alternating with Alex Mthiyane.   

“We are excited to announce that Menelisi is joining our radio station. He is a talented, seasoned presenter and we have no doubt that he’ll become a huge asset on our radio station. He will be alternating with Alex Mthiyane,” said Khulekani.    

The news was music to his colleagues and followers.  

They took turns and congratulated him.   

Nothando Mkhize said: “My first ever radio interview was with you, and you set the standard so high. Congratulations, my brother, and may you be blessed in our journey.”  

His former colleague, Thobani Zikalala, said: "One of the best in the game. One of the few who cared about my opinions. Good luck in your new career home.”  

Agiza Hlongwane said Manelisi is going far with his career and wished him the best.
