IT'S D-Day for former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu.
Ngizwe will appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Friday, 3 November for judgment for his July Unrest case.
This after he made a brief appearance in October 2023 and his case was postponed to Friday, 3 November.
During his appearance, the 40-year-old from Nkandla, KZN was accompanied by his friends.
His case dates back to July 2021 during protests against the arrest of former president Jacob Zuma, which ended in the loss of lives and livelihoods. Looters destroyed shops and malls.
It was just before that chaos, which went on for about a week, that the former radio presenter allegedly uttered the war cry: “Azikhale”, as a staunch Zuma supporter.

Ngizwe faces three counts of incitement to commit public violence and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
After court proceedings, he told the media that he felt like he was tortured for what they know is right. He said he was just being abused by government.
He said he was fighting for justice. Ngizwe said he believed what was being done to him is just abuse of power. He said he was arrested for something that needed to be done for Zuma, adding that someone of his age can't go to jail.
"He can't go to jail at the age of 80, no it doesn't make sense. This is the age when someone comes out of jail, not going in. How can they do that to him when they know very well that he is an old man? We can't sit and watch while we know justice," he said.
Ngizwe told the media that Zuma didn't deserve this and people knew that.
He said his case would serve as part of South African history. The presenter said he was tired of coming to Joburg for the same case.
He said he even wished the case had ended a long time ago.
Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority spokeswoman, Phindi Mjonondwane said they submitted everything from their office and were just waiting for the judgment.
