IT CONTINUES to pour hard for Former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu.
This after he lost his ambassadorial role with JAC Motors South Africa following his remarks against Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader Julius Malema on Friday, 22 December.
The company which Mchunu was driving one of their vehicles gave him until the close of business on Friday, 29 December, to return their bakkie.
In their statement, they stated: “JAC Motors Port Shepstone hereby distances itself from the tribalistic and divisive utterance of Mr Ngizwe Mchunu. These utterances are condemned in the strongest terms. As such we have taken the decision to terminate our relationship with Mr Ngizwe Mchunu and recall our vehicle from his possession.”
The company's CEO, Sicelo Nyandeni, said: “Every citizen has the right to live anywhere in South Africa and to freely commute across provinces without prior approval.”

The company made the decision after meeting the EFF’s KZN leadership on Wednesday, 27 December.
Ngizwe has been receiving backlash since a video of him insulting Malema and calling him a boy, among other things, circulated on social media.
When Daily Sun tried to enquire about the controversy, Mchunu released a statement saying that his office is closed for the December holidays but noted the “controversy and propaganda” created by the EFF against him.
“The president of amaBhinca will however respond to MK formation and the propaganda perpetrated by the EFF on the 5th of January 2024.
“The president of the Bhinca nation wishes to assure his love for all his people of different tribes, Xhosa, Ndebele, Zulu. Shangaan Tsonga, Venda, San, Swazi Bushmen and Pedi,” said Mchunu.
