FORMER Rhythm City actor and kwaito artist Brian “Bruno” Majola has died.
Bruno, popularly known as Bongani on the canned e.tv soapie, died on Monday, 15 August.
His best friend Pardon Makamu confirmed the news to Daily Sun.
“This has been very hard for me. This was someone I took my brother. We worked together and even went into business together,” he said.
“We were more than just friends, we became family. Our parents even knew each other, so it’s really hard,” he continued.
Pardon said they don’t know they cause of death at this stage.
“Right now, I still don’t know what happened. There are a lot of rumours. Some people are saying he committed suicide, some say he was fighting with his woman and that’s what led to his death,” he said.

“I am currently waiting for his family to tell me what really happened,” he said.
“I will miss him. I’ll miss his attitude and energy towards work. He had a passion for music so much. That’s what I can say about him,” he said.
Bruno, who was open about his past life, was known for speaking about second chances.
He served a nine year sentence and had opened up to Daily Sun before about getting into a life of crime at the age of 15.
Tributes have already started pouring in on social media with people expressing shock and sadness about his passing.
Actor and TV presenter Zola Hashatsi said he’s not okay. “Angikho Grand. How dare you @bruno_jamshack #RIPBruno. I am heartbroken and in tears. Angeke bafwethu,” he wrote.
Facebook user Nick Veron wrote: “We have lost a brother, mentor, a leader and a soldier in you grootman. Your death hits me so hard, it’s sad - it’s painful Rest well Brian Bruno Majola.”
“Wow. Another rest in peace so quick! Rest In Peace Brian BRUNO Majola. The real ones know! #RIPBruno,” wrote Twitter user, King_Snoo.
