A NEW romantic TV series is set to wow Mzansi.

It is about the complications of a love relationship and culture.

The new romantic series titled 1802: Love Defies Time will premiere on 1Magic (DStv channel 103) from Monday, 1 May at 8.30pm, and will be aired from Monday to Wednesday.

It will star former House of Zwide actress Sikelelwa Vuyelani as Khosi and feature talented actors such as Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo, Prince Grootboom, Motheo Ratikane, Vuyolwethu Ngcukana and Amanda Quwe.

The series is about a woman who is about to get married to the man of her dreams, but she discovers there is someone else in another realm who is her true love.

The captivating Xhosa love story follows two star-crossed lovers as they travel through time in search of their destiny.

Director of local entertainment channels at M-Net Shirley Adonisi said it is a fascinating series with fantasy and mythology elements.

Sikelelwa Vuyeleni said it is a moment for God and the opportunity to give the Lord the glory for all He has given her.
