RADIO and TV presenter TK is thrilled to start her new life in Jozi.

The former Good Hope FM presenter, whose real name is Tarryn Kay Trussell van Louw, has left the Mother City, the place of her birth, to build her brand in Joburg.

TK, who is also an influencer, spoke to Daily Sun about her big move and what inspired it.

"I think Capetonians get too comfortable in Cape Town, and don't venture out nationally to explore our beautiful country and all its amazing offerings. For me, it was stepping out of my comfort zone," said the influencer who has been having the time of her life in Joburg.

"Cape Town is a fun, hip, cool environment, but you need to fully understand your country. That means taking a risk and jumping out there and explore what's on offer."

"I'm exactly 10 days a Jozi girl and am loving it. I think it's grandeur, extra and a true reflection of South Africa and where we're aiming to be.

"I'm not one to do things half-heartedly. If I follow through, I make it work. I adapt and make the most of it. In the same breath, I'm a Capetonian at heart.

"I'll capitalise on and be part of everything versus limiting myself to being 'a Cape Town girl'. We live in a country that has so much to offer, so we must live up to it."

During her stay, TK will be getting into the beauty space and focusing on beauty and wellness content.

"I can't share much about my plans here in Jozi. However, I'm quite active in the wellness and beauty space. I'm a big activist of female self-love and women empowerment.

"From education in beauty products, health, menopause to joints, skin and hair. That's a big part of my narrative. Without giving too much away, that's what I'll be participating in and doing a lot of activities in that space," TK said.
