Nosipho Thwala wants to do both music and acting.

AFTER she was in the top six of Idols SA in 2018, Nosipho Thwala has never looked back.

The singer from Ladysmith in KZN urges men to look after their girlfriends on her new single.

The 22-year-old musician, composer and actress has released a new amapiano single, Angik’tholi featuring Lesax.

Nosipho, who had a cameo role on The Queen in 2021, told SunBuzz she wants men to stop ghosting their girlfriends.

“When the drinks are flowing during a girl’s night out and the DJ plays the record that reminds you of your boo, nothing is more frustrating than not picking up the phone to share a special moment.

“I have observed that many times girls get hurt when they can't reach their lovers, and I saw the need to sing about it and encourage boyfriends to stop it,” said Nosipho.

She said music is an easy way to communicate with people and shape the nation to do what is right.

Nosipho was signed by Gallo Record Company after Idols SA in 2019 and released two singles, Thembalami and Don’t Kill My Vibe.

“I still want to go far with my music and acting as well. At the moment I’m still going to release singles and do features until my fans demand an EP or album

“I have a long list of artists that I still want to feature on my singles, including my home girl Cici Thwala,” she said.

She said she appreciates the golden opportunity she got to appear on the now canned Mzansi Magic telenovela, The Queen.

“I appeared on The Queen for three months and left with more love of acting as it was my first time acting.

“I’m still looking forward to any acting opportunities because I want to do both music and acting because they are related,” she said.

Lesax, whose real name is Lefa Ntshaba, said that it was great to work with Nosipho on their new song.

“Nosipho is talented and very easy to work with in the studio. I’m also a producer and saxophone player.

“I have been producing amapiano songs for two years now,” he said.
