THE five suspects linked to the killings of Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his friend, Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, will be back in the Durban Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 2 April.
The suspects, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi (30), Lindani Ndimande (35), Siyanda Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Gwabeni (36), and Lindokuhle Ndimande (29), who have applied for bail are expected to respond to the investigating officer's affidavit, which opposed their bail application.
On Wednesday, 27 March the investigating officer in the case, Detective Kumarasan Pillay, revealed that the state had solid evidence to oppose the bail application.
The detective revealed detailed evidence about how AKA was followed from King Shaka Airport, where he landed until he was shot dead at The Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
He said they have obtained several statements from several witnesses, including ballistic expects, as well as cellphones records and analyses reports, back records and statement, CCTV footages, car tracker's report, among other evidence.
He revealed that the police recovered a Mercedes-Benz C200 used as a gateway in AKA and Tibz murder after it alleged that suspects tried to burn it but failed.

He revealed that one live 9mm round nickel was also found in the car, similar to the two nickel-spent cartridges found close to AKA.
Detective Pillay shocked many when he revealed the name of well-known taxi boss Mfunda (Mfundo) Gcaba as the one who paid R803 455 to accused number four Mziwethemba Gwabeni on 11 February, a day after AKA was killed.
Police have identified Gwabeni as the one who organised the hit by organising cars and guns and paying other suspects after the AKA murder.
According to Pillay after Gwabeni received R803 455 he transferred the money to other suspects and in the reference, he wrote DIVIDENDS but there is no record that other suspects are owning shares in his company.
