THE Five suspects linked to the murder of Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane will be back in the Durban Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 27 March.

Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi (30), Lindani Ndimande (35), Siyanda Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Gwabeni (36) and Lindokuhle Ndimande (29) previously appeared in the same court on Tuesday, 19 March for their bail application hearing.

It was adjourned to 27 March to allow the state to respond.

The five are facing charges of murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and money laundering.

During their last appearance, accused four Mziwethemba Gwabeni who is believed to be the who had organised the hit for R800 000, in his affidavit stated that it was a coincidence that he received R800 000 on the day of AKA's murder and that he transferred R133 000 to accused number five, Lindokuhle Ndimande.

Gwabeni also revealed that the police, mostly the National Intervention Unity (NIU), raided his home in Cowies Hill on 27 February to arrest him, but he was not at home as he had attended a meeting in Ladysmith.

The fifth accused, Lindokuhle Ndimande, also applied for bail, and he revealed that he was self-employed and owned shares in a poultry farm. He also said he owned a taxi under the Malukazi Taxi Association.

In his affidavit, Ndimande stated that at the time of his arrest, he had already made arrangements with his girlfriend’s family that a lobola delegation would meet her family over the Easter weekend to pay R25 000 in cash cows and 11 live cows.
