ARTISTS from Emalahleni have penned an open letter to the mayor.

They accused the municipality of taking opportunities away from them and neglecting them.

“The Emalahleni Cultural Art Centre, Izodela Community Centre and Khanya Youth Development Centre used to be easily accessible but this is no longer the case. As artists of the Emalahleni Municipality, we are required to pay a fee in order to use these facilities. We don’t have money and we feel that we are systematically being blocked from using these art centres,” complained an artist, Theodore Mohlala.
