THE Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in KZN has deployed former Ukhozi FM presenter Linda "Mr Magic" Sibiya and former KZN youth League leader Magasela Mzobe into their Provincial Elections Task Force (PETF).

The elections task force is the provincial committee responsible for elections work in the province and reports to the Central Elections Task Force.

The two joined the EFF in October 2023. Linda is responsible for the committee that will liaise with and mobilise with traditional leaders and the religious committee, while Magasela is assigned the role of convening the workers' mobilisation committee.

KZN EFF provincial chairman Mongezi Twala said all EFF regions, subregions in KZN will work collectively with Linda and Magasela who have massive and commendable experience from their previous political and professional experience to relate with the people.

"We call on the people of KZN particularly workers, traditional leaders, and the religious community to be fully informed that these leaders have been assigned official responsibilities by the EFF and will be acting on behalf of the EFF whenever they visit their workplaces, traditional councils, and religious institutions.

"We once again call the people of South Africa to go to their nearest voting stations to register to vote and to check their voter registration status during this voter registration weekend," said Twala.

He said that they welcome Linda and Magasela into the PETF and they're confident that they will fulfil their mandates and responsibilities with maximum discipline and excellence.

Linda told Daily Sun that he is happy to be part of the EFF PETF and he'll make sure that he delivers the best.

"Since I was working for a radio station, I was closer to traditional leadership and religious leadership, and it will be easier to convince them to vote for the EFF or listen to what the EFF has to offer.

"I will also work closely with the youth because I started to work with them many years ago through my motivational tour called Magic tour and now many higher education institutions under the EFF student command," Linda said.
