We are so much the poorer for losing her, but her music wil live  on in the hearts and minds of those wise enough to understand the value. May she Rest in Everlasting Peace, in the company of the Almighty and the Ancestors."

Jazz singer, Sbongile Mngoma said:" Ulale ngoxolo Dos. Usithethelele apho uya khona. Ulufezile olwakho ugqatso."

UKZN Art director, Ismail Mohamed wrote:"Born on Christmas Day and transcends on Christmas Day. I had the wonderful opportunity of presenting her at the National Arts Festival Makhanda when I was the festival’s artistic director.

"Both Rhodes University and UCT conferred Honorary Doctorates on her.

In 2019, during her tour in Europe she became ill and was stranded in a hospital in Paris. Thanks to Hollard for stepping in the time to ensure her safe return.  We are in deed blessed that she lived two full years after that illness.

May her return to the ancestral world be blessed," said Ismail.
