The 37-year-old from Umlazi in Durban said he has been getting questions about his whereabouts.
“I don’t have new music, but I’m doing just fine. I’m surviving. I know that sometimes an artist will disappear and reappear in a sad state. But I always tell people who are sending me direct messages (DMs) and inboxes asking me if I’m OK, that I’m surviving. I get questions of my whereabouts all the time. Some ask me if I’m OK. But no one should worry about me, I’m a hustler,” said Mgarimbe.
The kwaito star said Sister Bethina still works for him as an artist.
“When event organisers book me, almost all of them ask me to perform this song. So in other words, I get bookings through Sister Bethina. Some radio stations are still playing the song. So this song keeps me relevant in the industry. The song was known by music fans in 2005, and it has proven that it is classic,” said Mgarimbe.
