DJ and TV presenter Sabelo Mtshali, popularly known as DJ Sabby, is taking over the newly relaunched and improved Metro FM mid-morning show called The Bridge from tomorrow, 1 July.

The media statement was released yesterday by the SABC about the relaunch of The Bridge and its new host.

This daily lifestyle show will bring inspirational, fun and engaging content, as well as amazing music.

Metro FM business manager Kina Nhlengethwa said DJ Sabby has achieved what many want to achieve at his age and he is excited about this journey.

She said: “At just 32 years old, DJ Sabby has achieved what many dream of achieving and with so many years ahead of him, we are excited about where the journey is headed.”

Although he will be taking over this relaunched show, DJ Sabby will also continue to give you the hottest tunes every Saturday from 9am to 12pm during the Metro FM Top 30.

DJ Sabby took to his socials to announce his new gig and that he felt honoured to be trusted with such a show.

He posted: “Feels great to announce that I’m back on weekdays and joining the @metrofmsa daytime line-up as of the 1st of July.

“Taking over the 9am to 12pm slot from Monday to Friday and I’m still keeping the #METROFMTop30 on Saturdays.

“I’m honoured to be trusted with such a show and looking forward to delivering amazing brunchtime radio.

Let’s meet on Friday.”
