DJ CLOCK has pleaded with Daily Sun to help him save his home.

Absa has gone to court to apply for repossession of his townhouse after the popular DJ and producer failed to keep up with his monthly repayments.

According to court documents, the DJ, whose real name is Kholile Gumede, was granted a home loan of R434 000 in 2010 to buy the property in Roodepoort, west of Joburg.

The documents show he was supposed to pay monthly instalments of R4 633.

He confirmed to the SunTeam that he fell behind on his debt during the lockdown as he had no income.

“I would appreciate it if Daily Sun could help me with the money I owe so I can pay Absa and other debts, since you are going to make money with this content,” he said.

“Your help would be highly appreciated as Covid-19 hit us entertainers badly.”

Absa bank said: “As much as we would like to respond, due to client confidentiality, we are unable to respond publicly.”

DJ Clock is not the first artist to plead for help from the People’s Paper.

Earlier this year, Zahara opened up about her problems with banks.

After her story was published, many of her fans pledged to help her raise money to pay her debt. She was also booked for gigs.
