POPULAR producer and DJ Cleo’s interview has inspired many people on social media.
This after the musician, whose real name is Cleopas Monyepao, shared his ups and downs in life during his interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG on Thursday, 3 November.
The 42-year-old from Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, shared with presenters Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho and Sol Phenduka how he used to be a troublesome child and ended up with the wrong crowd.
DJ Cleo shared that life was hard for him as a teenager as he wanted to fit in, and ended up making mistakes. He said he even got arrested for stealing a music player at school as he loved music, and was in jail for a few days.

He also revealed that he did not drink alcohol or smoke, which impressed a lot of people.
This led to many of his followers sharing how incredible he was, and how he used to make good music for the festive season.

The musician is best known for hits including Goodbye, Facebook, Ndiya Ndiya and Gcin’ Impilo Yam’. He has also worked with artists including Dr Malinga, Bucy Radebe and Ishmael.
