DURBAN gqom’ duo Distruction Boyz don’t regret their re-union.
The duo – Zipho “Goldmax” Mthembu and Thobani “Que” Mgobhozi both 26-years-old – said their music career is booming since they got back together last year.
The two split in 2020 to focus on their solo projects.
Goldmax said that they get more gigs than when they were flying solo.

“I believe that music fans love us more when we are together. I say this because we’re always busy. And it feels good to get on stage and see people screaming and cheering to us. I think after we split, they thought it was the end of us as artists. Also the pressure from fans for us to re-unite proved that we’re good as a group,” said Goldmax.
He said that although they did well as solo artists, it’s different compared to them as a group.
