THE controversial DJ and influencer Honour Zuma, known as Cyan Boujee, has been visiting schools recently.
She has been posting videos of her speaking to pupils at schools.
Even though it wasn’t clear what she was saying in the videos, the pupils seemed excited to see her.
The 22-year-old from Mamelodi, Tshwane, became famous after she started shooting YouTube videos while still in high school.
After matriculating, she continued with her influencer career.
Many people on social media expressed their feelings towards the videos, some saying they don’t understand what Cyan would say to the pupils.
Others felt like she had a controversial life, and her life lessons would be good for younger kids.
Recently, she explained why she does the school tours during the Podcast and Chill episode with Mac G and Sol Phenduka.
When asked why she is motivating kids at school, Cyan said that she realised that many people look up to her.
“I realised that many people look up to me because of the strength that I have and overcoming everything,” she said.

She said her gogo, who is a teacher, made her start the initiative of visiting schools.
“She told me that while pupils were writing essays about people they look up to, one of them wrote about me and said she looks up to me because of my strength and wishes I could make an appearance and see how people her age group look up to me."
Cyan said that she then thought of doing the school tour.
“I thought that if it's like this, then it will be a great opportunity for me to visit other schools and see if the kids love me, and that’s exactly what I did,” she said.
The influencer said the motivation that she gave pupils was to stay in school.
“I motivated them to finish school and be strong with trials and tribulations that are going to come,” she said.
MacG asked her if she thinks that people look up to her, and she said: “Hundred per cent with no doubt, and no one else is going to make me feel otherwise because I feel the love. I got to witness it. Maybe you guys are trying to make a joke about me visiting the schools, but I witnessed it. If you can see a child crying for seeing Cyan Boujee, you can see they look up to me.”
