THE HALLELUYA gospel concert aims to provide spiritual comfort to the residents of KZN who were affected by floods last year.
It will be held at the newly opened Galaji Concert Venue near Inanda Dam Wall in KwaNgcolosi, Durban on 18 March.
Event organiser Slindile Ngcobo told Daily Sun their main goal is to heal broken hearts and bring back hope.
“This is more than just a music concert, but a spiritual upliftment for the community that was hit hard by floods in April 2022.
"Many lost their lives, relatives lost loved ones, family homes were damaged, and infrastructure collapsed,” she said.
She said the event will be all in one, as it is also meant to help local business people benefit.
“The concert will not only bring spiritual relief but will also help the community financially, as local businesses will benefit from temporary employment on the day.
“People are requested to bring their camping chairs and enjoy live music from top gospel stars,” she said.
Artists such as gospel greats Dumi Mkokstad, Sphumelele Mbambo, Thobekile, Jumbo and Babo Ngcobo will perform at the event.

Slindile said they partnered with the National Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.
“We opened the Galaji Concert Venue in December last year to host outdoor events for various musical performances to promote art, culture and tourism,” she said.
