COMEDIAN Loyiso Gola has been accused of ruining the expectations of viewers of The Roast of Khanyi Mbau.
From Gugulethu, Cape Town, he shared on social media that he was the mastermind behind the script of the Comedy Central show, that aired on DStv channel 122 on BET Africa on Monday.
Most people disapproved of his tweet, saying that he should have kept quiet as they thought people were making fun of each other on their own.
The the show was featuring celebrities including Nadia Nakai, Sol Phenduka, Celeste Ntuli and Tbo Touch on the panel.
On Monday, 8 August, the 39-year-old wrote: “This year, I was tasked with writing the #RoastOfKhanyi. That entails writing jokes for and against the panel.”
He also shared a photo of other writers and comedians under the tweet.

“This was the team (including the person in red on the wall). I am really proud of what we pulled off. Catch The Roast of Khanyi Mbau tonight 9pm DStv channel 122,” he further shared.
This did not sit well with most fans, who shared that it was not a great idea for him to over-share the information.
Prosper said: “This is a tweet we were not supposed to see. No one wants to know that the roast is scripted, even though we see credits in the end. But still, we don’t care about those. Wena you just wanted to shine and you ruined it for everyone.”
Then ElaninQ commented: “People like you need to sign NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) because you all can’t shut up.”
Lukisi added: “Hayi, you just ruined it.”
“So, celebrities just read a script vele? TV is fake,” commented Mahlatse.
