THE late ProKid inspired up-and-coming artist Chillas with his music and how he played around with words.
The 33-year-old musician from Durban, KZN, has been making music for 12 years now.
He said ProKid and Proverb are the reason why he is passionate about music.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Chillas said when he started making music, he was only doing it for fun but people kept asking him when he was going to release the music.

“When I started making music in 2010, I used to do it for fun until people started asking me when I was going to release the songs.
“That’s when I decided to take this music thing serious and kept on pushing until today,” he said.
Chillas, whose real name is Nduduzo Marvin Bulose, shared that he released a single at the end of September and the music video is next.
“I released my single, Groove, last month which is about having fun. in a place. where music is its home and there is drinks, people enjoying life hence I named it Groove.
“The music video of the song is coming soon and people should expect a killer music video.
“I’m also planning to release my EP next year around March,” he said.

Chillas also spoke about his previous work.
“I have worked with MusiholiQ on my previous single titled Lekelela, which was part of an EP titled Umhlahlandlela,” said Chillas.
He said he would like to work with Amanda Black, Ami Faku and CiCi one day.
