“THIS one is for you, my brother.”

These were the words of rapper Cassper Nyovest to his late industry friend Riky Rick, who shared the warm message before performing at the Cotton Festival at The Station in Newtown, Joburg yesterday, 23 April.

The rapper (31) from Mahikeng, North West, whose real name is Refiloe Phoolo, shared that even though Rikhado Makhado, aka Riky Rick, was no longer alive, he still loved him.

He said he wished he was still here to perform with him.

They had worked on several songs together, including their smash hit Le Mpitse.

Cassper said it would have been nice if Riky Rick, who committed suicide earlier this year at the age of 35, was still around, but he knew he was with him in spirit.

The rapper, who was popular for his work and fashion sense, had left behind his wife Bianca and their two children.

He had left many with broken hearts, as he was known for pushing young talent during his shows and under his label.

Riky’s fans shared amazing messages during the show.
