RAPPER and businessman, Cassper Nyovest, had to do the right thing in order for his brand to grow and he is happy he's still going strong after 19 years in the music industry.
The 32-year-old star, whose real name is Refiloe Phoolo, told Daily Sun all it takes is having strong faith and fighting for what you want as life can be challenging.
He said his journey wasn't easy, but he is here now. Cassper, who recently released his latest single, Soul, said the song is for those who are trying hard to never give up.
Despite going through a rough patch during the Covid-19 pandemic, the rapper said he had to keep his head up as he had fans to make music for and a family to look after.
"I have been through a lot in life, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. But I never gave up on myself and I kept going," he said.
He said he trusted God and even managed to score a couple of deals that helped him get back on his feet.
Cassper recently collaborated with the beverage, Sprite, which will see him meet up with fans and connect with them on a personal level. He also partnered with Liberty Life, and will host seminars about making the right financial moves in the entertainment business.

"These collaborations with brands and connecting with fans are the things that will see us go far as artists. I'm grateful for this opportunity and it has been a great journey in telling African stories through music," he said.
Cassper said he will release an album titled Solomon on 28 July, adding that many people have been waiting for it.
"I am dedicating this album to King Solomon. This also happens to be the name of my best friend Carpo," said Cassper, adding that this is a token of appreciation from him to them.
