THE much-anticipated Burna Boy concert has been cancelled.
This was announced by Khanya PR and Media Solutions in a statement on Tuesday, 19 September.
"We hereby wish to announce that Khanya PR and Media Solutions has, after much consideration, resolved to resign the account for the Burna Boy concert which is scheduled to take place on 23 September 2023.
"We have, as an agency, elected to withdraw our services which have up to now included PR and social media management. We have, following consideration of our business interests and working through the necessary legal advice, come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned that we cease our role in the event," the statement said.
They wished the organisers well in their endeavours for the concert and their future projects.

"Further inquiries regarding the Ternary Media Group presents Burna Boy concert should be directed to CEO at Ternary Media Group Sedote Nwachukwu. We look forward to working with you in our various other projects," they said.
Ticketproza also released a statement, saying: "We regret to inform you that the highly anticipated Burna Boy concert, which was scheduled to take place on 23 September 2023 at FB Stadium in Johannesburg, has had to be postponed. The concert will now take place on Saturday, 16 December."
They said the decision was not made lightly. It is the result of careful consideration and evaluation of various factors, including the lack of ticket sales.
They said they are making every effort to make the postponed Burna Boy concert an exceptional experience for all.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy posted on his Instagram status: "I was in SA last year and I had 100 000 of the most beautiful South Africans out for me. See you soon South Africa."
