DANGER, who is a member of popular kwaito group Big Nuz, was granted bail of R1 000 after he was arrested for being in possession of a cocaine bag, valued at R25.
Real name Mzingisi Tshomela, Danger appeared in the Amanzimtoti Magistrates Court on Friday, 10 June, after briefly appearing on Monday and being remanded in custody.
The 39-year-old artist from Durban, KZN, was arrested at Athlone Park in Amanzimtoti on Sunday, 5 June, and will appear again on 23 August.
Fellow group member Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo was also seen in court to support him.
One of Danger’s closest friends, who asked not to be named, told Daily Sun that the arrest looked like a plot to discredit him.

“It seems like cops got a tip-off. He was carrying a small bag of cocaine, but not selling it.”
Danger was arrested while members of the group were working at bringing it back. It went off the spotlight after the death of its third member, Sibusiso “R Mashesha” Khomo, in 2015. Mampintsha started focusing on his solo project at his music company West Ink while Danger released an album alongside Lvovo Derrango.
Last month, Danger and Mampintsha performed as Big Nuz in Richards Bay.
