AUS Velemina, whose real name is Lebogang Ronald Ledwaba was laid to rest on Saturday, 20 April.
The funeral was dominated by members of the LGBTQ community, who made up 80% of those in attendance, including Ticktok sensation President Gay, Mawisa and radio DJs.
Programme director and comedian, Sipho Ntuli stressed the importance of celebrating life and presenting flowers to those who are still alive.
"We don't know what the future holds, and time waits for no one. If someone does something good, let them know," he said.
He said he was sad Aus Velemina had died.

International award-winning DJ Divalash, who was the first to introduce Aus Velemina to the entertainment industry, told Daily Sun she was honoured to be the first DJ to interview him and introduce him to the world.
"I had to pay my last respect to him because I was also at the beginning of my career and my interview with Aus Velemina was my first interview I gave on. It was just fantastic," she said.
Divalash said that Aus Velemina was a natural and that she had also played an important role in developing the person she was today.
When Aus Velemina's procession arrived at Heatherly Cemetery, it was accompanied by Tshwane's legendary bikers, the Pheli Riders.
Emmanuel Ledwaba, Aus Velemina's uncle, told Daily Sun that Aus Velemina's father was born into a royal family, he was a "king" and that he was meant to succeed him after his death.
'Ledwaba's love of helping the community was his birthright. Even though he ventured into entertainment, we believe he served his destiny," he said.
Cartel Events and Moahi Funerals provided in-house services to honour and pay tribute to Aus Velemina for his service to the community.
As the SunTeam left at about 7pm that evening, more than 500 local residents were still in attendance at the funeral service to offer comfort and support to the family.
