AUSI Joyce Velemina is helping Mzansi forget about the lockdown through funny videos on social media.
Behind the hilarious ausi is 27-year-old Lebogang Ledwaba from Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
He told Daily Sun he’s a born impersonator.
“I do it every day. I love talking and making people laugh.

He said she’s a foundation phase English teacher in her mid-50s and is interested in kasi pop culture.
Lebogang said Ausi Velemina is happily married to Sonny Boy and has been blessed with a daughter, Tshiamo.
“The character of Velemina is a result of dry and dark humour. There’s a lot she wants to say about the LGBTQ+ community. But it’s just too funny. People may take it literally.”
He said he didn’t see himself as an actor.
“I don’t have a script and don’t prepare myself for the character. When I have an opinion, I visit mums’ old wardrobe and record Ausi Velemina.”
Lebogang said he’s getting positive feedback from people.
“I’m grateful for the responses. I just wanted to make people see the humour in life.”
He said when he’s not playing Ausi Velemina, he tries to get a life partner and find a suitable job.
“I usually engage in conversations that can be material for my next video,” he said.
