ASPIRING musician Eugene "Eugenious SA" Silimela makes music to motivate and heal Mzansi people through his songs.

The 21-year-old musician from Alexandra in Joburg believes that music is a sharp tool to heal people in their daily challenges and struggles.

Eugene started making music in 2014 and released his debut EP album, titled My Own Lane, in 2020.

Now he's about to release his debut album titled Life Of A Struggle, which aims to motivate people not to give up.

"I also motivate myself through all the challenges of life and music, because as humans we all face challenges. Life is a struggle, that’s why I said life is a struggle. I also motivate people who have faced struggles in their lives and can relate to this motivational music,” he said.

Eugene said his mission was to motivate people to overcome their challenges and life struggles.

"My songs are about motivation and upliftment. When I released my debut EP titled My Own Lane in 2020, it was basically about motivating myself about my challenges in life and in my music. Music is a good way to motivate and uplift people," he said.

He said he's finished recording his album, but he wants to take time to market it before it's released.

"Everything is done, like the mastering and the album is done, but I decided to release it on Saturday, 1 June," he said.

Eugene said he's busy marketing the album.
