MISS SA 2021 finalist Kgothatso Dithebe is grateful for getting a second chance.

In 2019, she entered and was one of the top five finalists. This year she is in the top ten.

In her Twitter post, she described herself as a strong, resilient woman. She said: “So grateful to be given this opportunity. I stand here believing in second chances because failure to me means trying again and this time with experience. I am a resilient woman. And I want all women to know that they are strong, worthy and capable of anything. #MissSA2021.”

In an interview with the Miss SA organisation, she said she was disappointed she did not win in 2019.

“My biggest disappointment was not winning Miss South Africa in 2019. But seeing a woman deserving of the title and how she pushed boundaries and changed the narrative, made me work harder on myself. I bounced back by blocking out negativity and worked on myself, my growth, my mental health. I became positive and attracted positivity. I booked campaigns and television commercials. I am even on billboards and in magazines.”

Her fans commended her for taking a second chance.

Thendo said: “Our future Miss SA. Congratulations.”

“You gonna win it . . . trust me,” said Legendary Croc.
