Mzansi’s sexiest podcast Umjolo and Sex is closing off pride month in a colourful way.

This week, our dynamic duo Mlungisi Mpela and Gomie Seabi, as well as entertainer and activist Amstel Maboa, will be discussing the celebration of sexuality.

Speaking to SunBuzz, Mlungisi said this week’s episode will be all about celebrating and embracing the LGBTQI+ community.

“We are going to do this by talking about sexuality and how the LGBTQI+ community continues to celebrate and embrace who they are, despite living in a society that is not always receptive and accepting as in some countries it is illegal to be homosexual,” he told the People’s Paper.

Mlungisi said the podcast will be split into two parts, but both parts are critical.

“We are going to have a personal conversation with Amstel, who will share with us his particular journey – of finding his sexuality and how he had to embrace himself, not only as a member of the LGBTQI+ community, but also as a human being. We are human before titles,” he said.

According to Mlungisi, the second part of the podcast will delve more into the different types of sexual orientations.

Meanwhile, co-host Gomie said they enjoyed having Amstel on the podcast.

“He is an energetic and sincere human being, and people are going to learn a lot from him as he has a lot of insight into this, which I believe many of our listeners will relate to,” he said.

Last week, the dynamic duo promised they would go live on Facebook, but did not. Gomie apologised for any inconvenience incurred.

  • “We had technical glitches that sabotaged us, but definitely on our next episode we are going live,” she said. Daily Sun’s podcast Umjolo and Sex is exclusively available on www.dailysun.co.za
